SCGS!!!! walk down memory lane

Hahaha. I realise that I really have yet to contribute to the class blog, so I shall talk about by alma mater: SINGAPORE CHINESE GIRLS' SCHOOL!!! Rhea probably has more memories to bring up, but like Jinting, I only spent 4 years in SCGS, but it was enough to make me more lady-like and have more poise. (I know what you all are thinking: Pearlyn lady-like? Violent more like it!! hahaha. True, but in comparison to what I was like in Primary School, this is a HUGE improvement.) I must also have my SCGS years to thank for giving me such great friends like:

E-hui and Elissa. E-hui was always there to listen to me complain about my horrendous life and then to entertain me during Bio lessons with all her drawings and stuff. She was also a good person to call and crap about not wanting to study while we studied over the phone and got scolded by both our moms :P haha. And her Math is super pro, so good person to look for when I didn't know how to do the various problems, especially for AMath relative velocity.

Elissa was always great to work with. She has initiative, cute drawings and interesting ideas. haha. Elissa also gave me a lot of songs to listen to, so I have her to thank for actually being able to erm, talk about some songs and artistes now. When I sat next to her in Sec4, she would always sing songs, and then stone during Bio lessons. HAHA. But she was another super smart friend :)

And then there were the other important friends like :

Jing Yi, Charlene and Nian-Ci. haha. Jing Yi was always the more quiet one. But then again, she learnt to be louder and eventually was able to suan people like Jinting. haha. Haha. I remember how she liked to eat mee pok and chicken noodle with Elissa :) and then we would queue with her haha. And she liked to eat the orange biscuit too :P

Charlene! HAHAHA. that sound would describe her exactly. She bought a 'Little Miss Shy' shirt and that was the joke of the year. Charlene was my lab partner. Always had a lot of funny things happening in lab, especially chem lab. She once poured H2O2 on her self while trying to adjust her goggles. Turned half her uniform pink. heehee. She was also always very worried for my safety :) everytime we used the bunsen burner, she was afraid I would burn myself because my arm would be lying over the mouth of the burner. Hmmm, Bio lab was fun too :) Charl was squeamish about the sheep's heart, prawn and fish we disected. Can't blame her. Her fish was really very bloody. Poor Charl. haha. Her Bio drawings always looked like cartoons, and apparently, she hasn't lost that because her Econs graphs are cute too :) I was sad when she dropped Physics though. No more fun partner during the boring Physics labs ...

Nian-Ci: Didn't really get to know her all that well. She was always with Charlene though, I guess coz they sat next to each other in class and they lived quite near each other..... hmmm.... but Nian-Ci was sort of like a neutraliser for Charl I guess. I would get crazy with Charl and all the lame jokes and suan-ing would come, and then we would look like little kids next to Nian-Ci :)

Then there was HUI SHAN!!

HAHA!!! Hui Shan is like her favourite colour orange: bright and full of happiness. There never was a dull moment with her around, even when we were busy cheong-ing :) notes for Os and other exams. haha. I think I will remember her most for the funny things she was always doing in class, such as going ''Chen Jing'', ''Da'' with her desk partner in class. Haha. Elissa and I sat in front of them in class. And Jing Da, was well, somebody's name lar. hahaha. super funny to see Elissa get embarrassed :) (okay, I think my hint is super obvious. But it is over le..) Yeah, thank you Hui Shan, for all the fun you injected in the otherwise dreary lessons :)

And there is Yanjun too!!! haha. fellow DBSK fan!!! haha. I think she got hooked on them earlier than E-hui. Ironically, I think I was the first to have access to their songs coz they endorsed my handphone brand, but it wasn't until Yanjun got into them that I really started to listen to their songs. haha. She loves Jaejoong and it is one of the few things that I have ever seen Yanjun go crazy over. If not, she, Jing Yi and I were the more mature and grown up ones among the group of us. Haha. She was great in Math, Combined Humanities and of course, CHINESE!! haha. She is one of the top Chinese students for O-levels :) So, kudos to her too ....... AND DBSK wan sui!!! haha. if Yanjun reads this, please send me DBSK's new songs okay? (^.^)v haha.

ONE MORE!!! Alicea Tan Wei Wei!! She left for VJC IP after Sec2, and I seldom see her now, but she is still a close friend. haha. Alicea used to be so quiet and soft in Sec1. We sat right in front of the teacher, and yet half the time the teacher had to ask her to speak louder. Thank goodness, now in JC, she is very much louder, and not so easy to bully anymore! JIA YOU Alicea!! ahaha. I remember the first day of school, I erm, unfortunately daoed her a bit :( But then, we started talking about weird trivial stuff, and now, we are good friends. We were Math Reps in Sec1, and she was really good at Math too. All these smart people around..... Yeah, and her English and Chinese were super good too. Just that her handwriting left much to be desired. :) We always teased her about being so skinny that a good wind would blow her away, and that she would be able to run super fast if the wind blew from behind her :) Fortuanately, she finally weighed more than 40kg when we met last year.

Of course I have many more friends that I have failed to mention: Jasmine, Claire, Denise, Grace Gan, Shi Hong, Jacqueline, Hoh Ting, basically a lot of people from 2SY, Georgina, and then my juniors, who are really cute :) and of course my dearest cousin Grace Tang XD But i don't have photos of them :(

Haha. Now in JC, and so are most of my friends. The rest I seldom see, and that is something I really regret. Nevermind, SC Carnival soon!!! So I hope to see my friends again :) haha. I must remember to bring my camera to cam-whore :)

And whereever you all are: JIA YOU and please keep in contact!! haha. JOIN SC ALUMNI...... hmmm, but the fee is quite high, so whatever the case, let's meet up soon okay?!?!? YEAH!! SCGS WAN SUI!!! haha. I bet my class will now have somehting to say about that :) [Pearlyn runs away now .....]

On Blogging

Come la, let the pro teach you what you can blog about....

Here are the top 10 things which you can blog about:
1) School work. Just write down all the homework that we have for the day, to remind others of them and also to release your stress when you get too pissed off by them. It really helps. [E.g. Maths test today and chem test on Wednesday, the March holiday that is totally not a holiday.]

2) Suggestions on how to improve class spirit. Whatever crazy initiatives that you are come up with. [E.g. the Founder's Day thingy can be discussed here also, on whether you like your role in the performance or not.]

3) Blog about lessons, what you feel about them. Whether particular lesson is interesting or boring, whether you successfully stay awake during lecture, and tell us how. Opinions on teachers, all the cold jokes to freeze the blog. (Why must we allow Chem practical to eat up our recess!!! Oh, and chemistry practical always got damn a lot of funny things happen one -- Someone did back-titration, and someone else almost got a L2)

4) What you think of the people in our class, anything interesting happened? Any jokes anyone said. Interpersonal relations. Whether you feel ostracized by the class, etc. [E.g. why must Edwin get the privilege to pon lesson today? Felix saw some black colour thing on the canteen bench and said it is someone's brother.]

5) Scandals!! Oops. This one no need me to say. A lot. Or you can just create your own scandal. Or you can like give lots and lots and lots of hints on this blog and let the rest of the class guess who is the person you like. Haha. Should be quite fun. Just like what Kwang Yueh and Benjamin always do to kill time during lectures.

6) Photo journal. It is for people like Rhea who just picked up cam whoring and for Zheng hao and Jia wen who are already cam whoring experts.

7) Interesting things you came across on the Internet. Hehehehe. I saw a lot of them watching interesting videos on youtube during class outing.

8) Tell us how sian your day was. Lessons, then break, then lessons, then CCA, then go home, then homework.... Then sleep, then the next day. Let's feel sian together.

9) Flood the blog with your emo thoughts? If you ever feel like breaking down, just come here to blog. Haha. the class will help you out, we are more pro than the volunteers from the Samaritans of Singapore, because we not only provide emotional support but also physical support by offering free hugs but no kisses, thanks.

10) Ok. If you really have nothing to write. Tell us what you are wearing now. Or comment on the teacher's dress sense.

There are 26 of us, 26 pairs of eyes and ears. I am sure at least one of you will have something to say every other day. Haha. Ya. So, is this enough inspiration for you to write the next blog post?

Dos and Don'ts when Drinking Alcohol

"Alcohol is the root of all evil."
-- By clear-minded people who are not drunk.

For boys:

1) Never drink alone, even if you think that you won't get drunk. At least make sure that there is someone there taking care of you when you puke.

2) Stop drinking immediately and rest if you feel that your stomach is bloated. Further drinking will result in vomitting.

3) Listen to your friends, when they say you are drunk, you are drunk. Further arguing may result in your friends using force to put you to sleep.

4) Know your limits. It is not cool nor man to be able to drink.

5) Never ever be stupid enough to allow girls to drink with you. They can't control. If both of you get drunk. GG.

For girls:

1) Avoid drinking. If you must drink, make sure that you have close friends around you whom you can trust. (oh, and make sure that they are not drinking.)

2) If you feel red in the face, stop drinking. Force yourself if you must.

3) Never ever (for God's sake) drink if you are having menstruation. Seriously.

4) Well, when you are drunk, you are totally out of control (and you won't remember anything afterwards), so there is nothing much you can do.

5) Oh, go for a bath, it really helps to clear your mind.

For those cleared-minded guys:

Keep an eye on them. Their lives depends on you. Haha.. really. You don't know what they will do when they are drunk. Just do anything possible to make sure that they don't do anything regretful. They won't remember it later anyway.

"Put a bunch of drunk guys and girls in a room with a pervert -- you get trouble."

Class Outing

It is 1.02 am now, 13 of Feb.

Our first overnight 08S74 class outing at Eugene's house.

The turn out wasn't good, around 13 people out of the 26 people in the class.

We watched step up 2 at GV Plaza Sing.

We played mahjong, Pokemon board game and various card games at Eugene's house.

We watched Saw IV halfway and stopped.

Free pizza from Eugene's parents for supper.

Oh, and we camwhored.

They moved the mahjong table upstairs (Eugene's room) and from the noise I can hear, they must be having fun.

Ya, I am alone on the ground floor, blogging.

Can't say why suddenly have the urge to blog, just that I haven't blogged for so long. Ya. And. Oh, I have to contribute something to the class blog as the econs rep. And most importantly, we are going to win the blogging competition.

This entry is supposed to be an account of our very first overnight class outing, Ya, so I hope that people will start posting pics of us having fun and going crazy.

I was rather disappointed that only half of us turned up for this outing. So, what are their reasons?

Rhea, Pearlyn and Leying had meeting today to prepare for their council campaign, must vote for them!
(Rhea came for the movie, and Leying came to play mahjong for 2 hrs)

Celia, Baihui, jinting. Well, people call them a gang. If one don't come, then the rest won't come. Erm. well, I thought they are quite enthusiastic in class, I hope that I will get to see them in the next class outing.

Brenda. Said she is not free for the whole week. Mugging for test I bet. Ya, she is really helpful, helping us with our revision and is always willing to guide us when we are at a lost with the tutorial questions. And most importantly, she is always giving us the directions for the venues of the classes and inform us of the upcoming lessons at least 10 mins before the lessons start to ensure our punctuality. For that, we do love her. But I think it is also important that we should have more class bonding activities to build up our class spirit besides having good grades.

Edwin is in Hong Kong. Valid excuse.

Erm, the rest, I do not know, they all must have some form of reasons one way or another but I do hope that they will be here the next time. Class outing requires the presence of everyone in the class.

Erm, I do admit that overnight outings are sometimes hard for the parents to approve but it is just once in a while, hope that next time we can have other outings which do not require us to stay up all night.

But on the whole, this outing is fun. Well, it is always fun when you are with your friends.

We play together, we laugh together and we make fun of each other. We will definitely miss the times we spent here when we graduate. ya.

(oh, I can hear the Mahjong sound upstairs, the game must have just started. haha)

Yellow City!

Yesterday's yellow city was really very nice!
Those who did not come really missed out the fun part!
The storyline also quite ok, not bad...
And also congratulate Kevin Seng and Bai Hui for putting up a good lighting coordination for us to enjoy the effects of the play. haha...
Well done to all people involved in Huang Cheng...

Hey guys! So how is the plan to Eugene's place going to be?? I am a bit confused. It seems that there a two different plans and are crashing with one another. I think the plan Zeng Hao brought out would never work out, because many people can't go, right?
wooooooooots =DDD

HOLIDAYS !!! WHEEEEEeeeeeee
ole ole ole ole!

more time to...

1) MUG
2) catch up with sleep
3) slack
4) think about things you cannot think about in school

Quote for the day...

Hey s74-ians!

I got this cool/weird/lame quote from the people in network club 2day.. The meeting was darn sien but i thought this chiasmus brought up by a group was pretty cool! XD

Children in the dark make mistakes, mistakes in the dark make children...

Yap! That's Me!

Suggestions...

Hey guyz...
I have a suggestion.
Why not when we are really free, let's produce a video clip of everyone of us.
Can be in any forms, either a short story or whatever forms.
The objective is to create a videoclip that everyone can hold on and watch it forever after we all have graduate.
Some kind of class montage thingy, but be more creative.
So we need to plan on how to do it, might need to start collecting videos or photos, depends on how you guys want the video be la.

That's all. By the way, not a rush to this thingy, we jus need to produce it before we graduate, but need to get it done as soon as possible la, coz got test and probably not much time for next year. And mayb one year one clip, den in the end combine both together.

ediSoN!!
